As Roland Barthes says: "when it first appeared, the DS 19 was like a magical object, shiny, seamless, with lots of windows, a sort of object that fell from the sky". And the way we look at the Citroën today is still the same. Nowadays, the DS is still a UFO, and very few cars have such a strong image.
This DS 21 was launched on March 14, 1973, which makes it one of the last DS 21 with carburetor and mechanical gearbox. Repainted in red a few years ago, this car shows today important traces of corrosion on its body and chassis, its interior is made of leather and has been redone a few years ago. Mechanically, the engine starts and runs well, and the hydraulic suspension system is functional.
