The Citroën catalogue of the mid-50's is quite limited. The 2CV is an alternative to the popular and cheap car, and the DS to the comfortable and revolutionary luxury car. The objective for the early 1960s was to add a mid-range model to these two models. In 1961, the Citroën Ami 6 was launched, with a more powerful engine and a more comfortable interior than the 2CV.
The Ami 6 we are presenting is a station wagon version that was launched on 8 November 1968. It has a green paint that was partly redone several years ago. The interior is rather well preserved. Traces of corrosion can be seen on the body and chassis. With its running engine, this Ami 6 station wagon is an interesting base for restoration.
