An avant-garde vehicle, the Renault Avantime is, beyond being a genuine technological showcase for the Losange brand, the only "coupéspace" in the history of the automobile! A genuine concept car that escaped onto the roads, it also offered top-of-the-range performance when it came out. Less than 8,557 units were produced by Matra (like the Espace before it) between its presentation at the Paris Motor Show in 2000 and the end of its production in 2003, and it was the perfect embodiment of its launch slogan: "Renault, creator of the automobile". A commercial failure in its day, it is now a true collector's item. The one we are presenting, dating from 2003 and equipped with the 2.2 litre DCi 150 bhp engine and steel grey colour with smooth Sahara beige leather interior (and equipped with a tow bar!), was sold in Belgium in 2004, and probably remained in the hands of the same owner (perhaps the first owner!) until 2013, after having covered just under 117,000 km. Some parts had been replaced in the meantime (including the gearbox in 2006, the EGR valve and the intercooler). In 2013, its second owner took possession of it and drove it until 2019, when this Avantime reached 147,000 km. In March 2019, at 143 000 km, the timing belt was changed
