The day after the Second World War, the English firm Morris Garage (MG) resumes the production of its cars. On the way, the English government decides to help the economic recovery by allocating steel to car manufacturers exporting at least 75% of its production. The management of the English company decides to export its flagship products en masse, and the TC is very quickly in the United States. This car was a huge success on the American market, which was discovering cars that were not very powerful but quite light, and cheap, contrary to the big names on their market. In the late 40's and 50's, the MG TC was a true antechamber of motorsport. Some of the greatest American drivers learned at the wheel of this car: Phil Hill, Sam Collier, or Briggs Cunningham. It was with this image and after reading José Rosinski's test of this car in the September 1965 issue of Sport Auto that Hervé Charbonneaux was inspired to buy one one day. The sporting capacities of this car have been proven in numerous competitions where amateurs and professionals alike have competed. An example given to us by Hervé Charbonneaux is the following: "In 1949, the driver Betty Haig finished a fantastic 7th place in the general classification of the Coupe des Alpes at the wheel of a TC, just behind a factory Bristol 400, and in front of a powerful Allard!

That's how Hervé Charbonneaux bought the TC 3559 chassis in 2019. This car, with its clear history, belonged to the Belgian motorsport legend Paul Swaelens. It is presented here in a beautiful condition. Freshly repainted in a black shade, this car has a bodywork that does not betray any defects we could expect on a car of this age. The chrome highlights the overall presentation, and the folding windscreen deliberately offers a sporty line reminiscent of the racing masterpieces of the 1930s. As for the upholstery, it's made of red leather with a nice patina, offering a superb look and a rudimentary comfort of course, but appreciable. The edge elements work. Everything in this car makes you want to drive it. The car was recently serviced at VDV-Grant (formerly Automobiles Vanderveken) in Belgium, and the mechanics and wiring harness have been checked. Finally, the four tires and the rims have been replaced. In good English fashion, the design was made with the famous "what if it rains" in mind... So yes, this car comes with a soft top and additional windows! In short, here is the opportunity to acquire an MG TC in a beautiful configuration and with a flattering history!
