The iconic Mini produced more than five million units between 1959 and 2000 is no longer presented. From May 1960, the range proposes a version Van for the professionals, with a wheelbase lengthened of 7,5 cm. This version was so successful that a 4-seat, glass-walled estate, called the Coutryman and Traveller (at Morris), was launched a few months later. In 1969, after 207,000 units, the new Mini Clubman Estate (197,606 units until 1982) replaced it. It is one of these Clubman Estate, in 1000 version (998 cc) that illustrates these pages. The car, unique, was modified with the front of a Riley Elf, a more prestigious version of the Mini, which was distinguished by its three-body volume, its level of finishing and this famous elegantly outdated grille. By the way, the yellow colour of this original modified Mini Clubman is also reminiscent of the exclusive Chartreuse Yellow of these Rileys. The car has not been used for two years and will need a service before being driven again.
