PROUDHON Pierre-Joseph (1809-1865) écrivain et théoricien politique

L.A.S. "P.-J. Proudhon", Paris September 22, 1862, in A. LEBÈGUE| 1 page grand in8.
He received the n° of the Publicity Office: "Your declaration could have been more favorable to me, without becoming the least compromising for you. However, I shall be satisfied if you respond appropriately to my request. By saying, on the one hand, that I am temporarily withdrawing from the debate, and, on the other, that you are giving up on my collaboration". His third article on Italy is intended "to point out what I call a slander". I will cease to be your collaborator, all right, but by responding to my opponents in the very columns of the Publicity Office, because I want your eighteen or twenty thousand readers to hear my last word, and I have the right to do so'. He asked him to insert his reply, which might be a little long, in a future issue. "Once this publication is published, and I've found a place to live in Paris, I'm moving to Brussels, and I'm leaving this hospitable land forever."
