"Monsieur my brother, and father-in-law, I announce by cellecy to Your Majesty the birth of my daughter the dauphine who this morning at one o'clock gave us a grandson. On these feelings in an occasion that is common to us all, what a pleasure it is for me to teach her such a happy event. In a few days I hope to kiss her, but in the meantime I will do it sincerely and renew to her the feelings of tenderness with which I am Mister brother, and beautiful Father, of Your Majesty, good brother and son-in-law Louis".
