On the trial of Melly.
[Ami MELLY, former member of the Council of 200 and bourgeois of Geneva, naturalized Irish, had hired Genevans to emigrate| his trial and his condemnation by the Council of Geneva made a big noise].
Bonnet first gives news about his health and his entourage, speaking familiarly of friends and relations: MM. Michéli, Plotz, Dunant, Lullin, Seard, etc. "Melly was judged on Friday. The Council remained assembled until 7:00 p.m. in the evening. Condemned to ask pardon of GOD and the Lordship behind closed doors, to the prison he had suffered, to one year in a closed room, to the loss of his rights as a bourgeois and to five years of exile. The reading of the Attorney General's conclusions took 3 hours.
It is said that he is too verbose. I still don't know if Melly will call back in CC. We find the paternal judgment"
