[This statue was to be financed by the Société des gens de lettres, then presided over by Zola, and of which Montagne was a delegate of the Committee.] "I'm writing to Rodin, and I'll give you a copy of my letter, on Monday the 24th, the day I hope to go to Paris. The statutes, as amended by the Conseil d'État, also seem to me to be quite acceptable. I will also give you the annotated copy on the 24th."
