SUPERIOR INFANTRY OFFICER'S SABRE
Gilt bronze and ebony mounting. Pommel with lion's head, hilt with one main branch and inverted quillon with palmettes, almond-shaped crucible with military trophy decoration, squared ebony handle. Curved Solingen blade with two gutters and counter-edge, engraved, blued and gilded to the third. Leather scabbard with three brass trimmings, finely chased, gilded and bitten with military trophy decoration. Composite reassembly in part Consulat/Empire.
