Bronze mounting with the arms of the Spanish crown, fused covered with filigree stingray. Blade of catch or of reassignment, with strong curvature, with rush, with counter-edge and tongue of carp, engraved with the hussar charging and trophies of weapons, manufacture "Coulaux Frères", Klingenthal. Iron scabbard with two bracelets. Directoire-Consulate period

This sword was made between 1820 and 1830 to serve in the Spanish Royal Guard. It is either a blade of a Spanish officer taken during the Spanish War of Independence or a former French officer serving under the Spanish flags during the Restoration.
