SIBELIUS JEAN (1865-1957)
L.A.S. "Jean Sibelius", Järvenpää November 21, 1907, to his publisher Robert LIENAU| 2 pages and quarter in-8 (2 binder holes)| in German.

On his 3rd Symphony and Violin Concerto.
He was successful in Petersburg with the Symphony. The critics were very divided ("Sonst ist der Kritik sehr verschieden"). He had only 2 rehearsals, and had to spend the first one correcting the orchestral parts. He therefore asked Lienau to send these corrections of the parts to the publisher Jurgenson in Moscow. Sibelius spent his time correcting, and regrets not being able to send anything new to Lienau. YSAYE is studying the Violin Concerto! Sibelius is going to conduct a concert in Rome on February 19 and then will come to Berlin .
