This fugue, on a subject by Massenet, is 89 bars long and unfinished. In E flat major at 3/2, it includes subject, response, counter-subject, three divertissements, and a "1st Strette (simultaneous S. and C.S.)".
The manuscript is written on 24-line LardEsnault paper, in black ink, with indications in red ink marking the various repetitions of the subject, counter-subject, etc. The manuscript is written on 24-line LardEsnault paper, in black ink.
