The Peugeot 177 is a 4-seater mid-range car. It succeeded the Peugeot 163 in 1924, belonging to the strategic 10 CV category and competing with the Citroën B2 or the Renault KZ. It inherits the mechanics and chassis of the 163, increased to 1525 cm3. In six years, there will be 7 different versions. The Peugeot 177 B was produced in Sochaux from 1924 to 1926. The 177 BH and 177 BL differ only in details, notably the transmission ratios and the diameter of the wheels. In 1926, these 3 models were replaced by the 177 M. The engine displacement was then reduced to 1300 cm3 for 7 CV, it received a gearbox with 4 non-synchronized ratios and the chassis was lengthened by 15 cm. The 177 M will be replaced by the R in 1928.
The model we are presenting is a 177 M Torpedo. The car has been completely restored and is in a very good condition, a simple restart of its mechanics will have to be done.
