Simple evolution, its lines have been brought up to date by Louis Bionier. Its name refers to the initials of the founders of the Panhard and Levassor brand and the number 17 is the addition of 5CV + 6 seats + 6 liters per 100 km. Regarding the mechanics, the PL 17 offers a flat twin of 851 cm3 developing 42 hp. Panhard will offer several versions of its PL 17 including a sedan, a convertible, a station wagon and a van. Original car by its engine and its very aerodynamic design at the time, the PL 17 was an honorable success. Its production will run from June 1959 to May 1965 with a total of just over 166,000 copies. The specimen we offer is a L4 type. It has been completely restored, only the engine and gearbox are missing. It was undoubtedly uncoupled from the car during the passage in the bodywork. It remains to find adequate mechanics to complete its restoration.

Au niveau mécanique, la PL 17 propose un bicylindre à plat de 851 cm3 développant 42 ch. Panhard proposera plusieurs versions de sa PL 17 dont une berline, un cabriolet, un break et une fourgonnette. Voiture originale par sa motorisation et son dessin très aérodynamique pour l’époque, la PL 17 a connu un succès honorable. Sa production s’étendra de juin 1959 à mai 1965 avec au total un peu plus de 166 000 exemplaires. L’exemplaire que nous proposons est du type L4. Il a été entièrement restauré, seul l’ensemble moteur / boîte est absent. Il a été désaccouplé de la voiture sans doute lors du passage en carrosserie. Il ne restera qu’à retrouver une mécanique adéquate pour terminer sa restauration. SANS RÉSERVE
