About his colleague's work on the petrine and the donation of books on cholera to the Hygiene Museum.
He gladly accepts his colleague's offer regarding the material on the petrine, as he had never had the opportunity to see reliable preparations of petrine ("ich bis jetzt noch niemals Gelegenheit hatte, zuverlässige PebrinePraparate zu sehen"). He thanked him, on behalf of the library of the Hygiene Museum ("Bibliothek des Hygiene-Museums") to which he would hand over the collection, for the literary references on cholera so meticulously collected by Dr HUSCHKE. He hopes that in this way this work will not have been useless and will be valued. He also intends to offer them the significant library that he himself has built up to date on cholera, which he hopes to be able to supplement with the museum's resources...
