Letter relative to the French translation of Araby, one of the short stories included in The Dubliners.
Araby is the third short story in The Dubliners originally published in London in 1914, and in French by the publisher Plon with a preface by Valéry Larbaud. The short story was first published in French entitled L’Arabie, translated by Hélène du Pasquier, in the periodical Les Écrits nouveaux, 1 February 1922. Joyce sends “Dugard” here the corrected proofs (now lost) of the French translation.
