EINSTEIN ALBERT (1879-1955).
Autograph MANUSCRIPT, §5. Die Feldgleichungen in erster Näherung [Field equations in first approximation], 4 pages and a half, in-4 format, [no place, probably early 1930’s]| in German.
An unpublished fragment of a larger study with calculations and equations.
These manuscript pages relate to the theory of distant parallelism developed by Einstein. The pages, numbered 18-21, clearly indicate that the manuscript constitutes the final section of an unpublished study. Most likely, these pages are from one of Einstein’s earlier investigations of possible field equations in a space with a Riemannian metric and distant parallelism compatability and thus stands as an imporant key to the development of Einstein’s thought on this subject.
