“Our will and pleasure is that you forthwith cause Our Great Seale of England to be affixed to a certain Instrument bearing date with these Presents containing Our Satisfaction of an Article agreed on and concluded in London the 8th day of March last past between Us and the States General of the United Provinces for the preventing of any differences, that may happen to arise between the English and Dutch East India Companies, and for the composing them amicably, if any be arisen [...]”.
