Têtrard frères house
Specialties
Silverware & Tableware
It was in 1880 that Edmond Têtard founded his silversmithing house. His talent was quickly recognized, and in 1889 he received a gold medal at the Paris World’s Fair. He then specialized in services and shaped pieces, heavily influenced by rocaille and Louis XV decorations. In 1901, Edmond Têtard’s three sons—Henri, Jacques, and Georges—took over the family business and renamed it Têtard Frères. They collaborated with renowned figures in silversmithing, such as Valéry Bizouard and Louis Tardy. Later on, Jean Têtard, Henri Têtard’s son, began creating pieces and enjoyed great success. The house reached its peak in 1931 when it won an incredible ten medals at the International Colonial Exposition.
