- En 1971, Mercedes-Benz annonce le remplacement de la gamme des SL Pagode : l'évolution portera comme numéro d'identité « R107 », et associera l'aspect de confort ultime aux notions de sécurité désormais incontournables. ~
- La version 280 SL, dont fait partie notre exemplaire, annonce le retour du 6-cylindres, et est présentée au public à la mi-1974 pour répondre aux exigences d'une clientèle en proie aux sujets pétroliers. ~
- Cet exemplaire est une version européenne livrée dans cette élégante teinte Astral Silver. Nous retrouvons sa trace dès 1991 dans l'Hérault. Elle passe ensuite entre les mains d'un amateur du Gard, avant de revenir dans l'Hérault en 2016, puis d'intégrer la collection du propriétaire actuel.~
- Aujourd'hui, son état est très satisfaisant : la peinture, refaite il y a de nombreuses années, demeure exempte de défauts notables, tout comme la sellerie d'origine. ╖ noter que le hard-top est toujours présent et en excellent état. Notre essai routier n'a révélé aucun problème particulier. Début 2024, près de 4 000 ░ ont été investis dans une importante révision | la voiture ayant peu roulé depuis, une révision d'usage sera peut-être à envisager.~
- Présentée avec une estimation très attractive, cette 280 SL est aujourd'hui un achat parfait pour un collectionneur en herbe souhaitant ajouter à son garage un cabriolet aussi à l'aise en été qu'en hiver ! ~

- The 280 SL version, which this model belongs to, heralded the return of the 6-cylinder engine and was unveiled to the public in mid-1974 to meet the demands of a clientele concerned about fuel consumption. ~
- This model is a European version delivered in this elegant Astral Silver colour, which we can trace back to 1991 in the Hérault region. It then passed into the hands of an enthusiast in the Gard region, before returning to the Hérault in 2016 and joining the current owner's collection.~
- Today, it is in very satisfactory condition: the paintwork, which was redone many years ago, remains free of any notable defects, as does the original upholstery. It should be noted that the hard top is still present and in excellent condition. Our test drive revealed no particular problems. In early 2024, nearly ░4,000 were invested in a major overhaul| as the car has not been driven much since then, a routine service may be worth considering.~
