On December 15, 2024, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Aguttes will hold its first auction entirely dedicated to sports. It will be the first sale of its kind for the house, as well as the first of this scale in Europe. Among the 200-250 lots are Pele's No. 10 jersey, the last one worn by the football legend while playing for the Brazilian national team, as well as Roger Federer's racket, used in the (victorious) Wimbledon final against Andy Roddick, and the WBA World Champion belt won by Evander Holyfield in the match against Mike Tyson. The sale will represent about ten sports. Chapters: Basketball, Boxing, Football, Tennis, Cycling, Winter Sports, and Multisport/Olympics.
Football – Pele’s JerseyPele's No. 10 jersey. This is a historic jersey, as it is the last one Pele wore while playing for Brazil’s national team (Seleção) on July 18, 1971, during the Brazil-Yugoslavia match held at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, which ended in a 2-2 draw (goals by Rivellino and Gerson for Brazil). He made his farewell to the Brazilian team at the end of the match. The jersey was signed by Carlos Alberto, captain of the 1970 Brazil team, Rivellino, who succeeded Pele by wearing the No. 10 jersey, Bellini, captain of the 1958 Brazil World Champion team, and Pele himself. Pele scored 95 goals in 110 matches with Brazil.

Tennis – Roger Federer’s Racket
Roger Federer's tennis racket used in the Wimbledon final (won) against Andy Roddick in 2005 (6/2 - 7/6 - 6/4). The racket is signed by Federer. It was his third consecutive victory at the London tournament.
Estimate: 15,000 - 30,000 euros.The estimated total for this first "Sports" auction is between 200,000 and 500,000 euros, and the catalog includes around 200 lots. For nearly 25 years, the owner of this collection has gathered pieces related to football, tennis, and boxing.
Basketball – Michael Jordan’s Jersey
Michael Jordan's No. 23 jersey. Worn and signed, from his time with the Chicago Bulls during the 1994-1995 season (specific match not mentioned).
Estimate: 5,000 - 10,000 euros.
Mountaineering – Erhard Loretan’s Ice Axe
Ice axe used by the Swiss mountaineer during his ascent of Mount Lhotse (8,501 meters) on October 1, 1994, accompanied by Jean Troillet. Erhard Loretan is the third mountaineer in the world to have climbed all 14 peaks over 8,000 meters, after Reinhold Messner and Jerzy Kukuczka. The ice axe is signed by Erhard Loretan.
Estimate: 1,500 - 3,000 euros.
Football – Luis Fernandez’s Jersey
Luis Fernandez's No. 9 jersey from the French national team. Worn and signed by Luis Fernandez during the 1986 World Cup quarter-final in Mexico against Brazil (1-1, 4-3 on penalties), on June 21, 1986. Fernandez scored the final penalty that sent France to the semi-finals. Fernandez earned 60 caps and scored 6 goals for France.

Boxing – Holyfield vs. Tyson WBA World Champion Belt
Exceptional WBA World Champion belt won by Evander Holyfield during the match against Mike Tyson on November 9, 1996, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with Holyfield declared the winner in the 11th round. At the end of each world championship, two belts are given to the winner and their team; this is one of those two belts, signed by Evander Holyfield. Both boxers were named "Fighters of the Year," and their fight was named "Fight of the Year." Ranked among the 25 greatest fights of all time by Boxing News, the oldest boxing magazine still in publication.
