RECORD FOR THE CLASSIC CAR DEPARTMENT
The Autumn sale totals just over 4.7 million euros

At the end of the year, collectors and classic car enthusiasts met at the Espace Charenton for a public exhibition and then in our offices of Neuilly-sur-Seine to attend the sale of 94 models offered for sale, dating from 1913 to the present day with estimates ranging from 1,500 euros to 800,000 euros.

After 4 hours and 45 minutes of bidding, 83% of the lots were sold for a total of 4 754 373 euros. A very good result closing a record year for the Aguttes on Wheels department, which is expected to reach a turnover of more than 16.5 million euros in this specialty in 2021.

Aguttes on Wheels once again stands out in the classic car market thanks to a record sales rate at its Autumn Sale. With five sales held, Aguttes on Wheels posted a 60% increase over 2020 and is once again in second place in this highly competitive market.

"Without the confidence of our vendors, Aguttes on Wheels would not be able to achieve such results. I sincerely thank them as well as my entire team who invests themselves daily to defend their interests. The Anna Lisa Collection but also the sale of the Ferrari BB 512i of Jean-Paul Belmondo will remain in our memories because the latter is a world record but also thanks to the alliance of two legends that I love so much. But I am just as satisfied to have sold a Renault Super 5 Baccara for €8,746, nearly triple its estimate, as I am to have sold a rare Fiat 1100 ES Coupé Pinin Farina for more than €160,000!"

Anna Lisa collection

A fantastic collection of forgotten automobiles, the cars from the Anna Lisa collection will finally be able to take to the road again! A testimony and tribute to the greatest engineers, designers and captains of industry, this collection of beautiful sleeping cars is now pampered and saved by a couple of enthusiasts, Anne-Lise and Patrick Duvarry, who decided to sell thirty-three of them. The bidders, who came from all over the world, since half of the cars leave France, or even Europe, fought valiantly in the auction room, on the phone or online, to win the cars that made them dream so much. They were not mistaken...

Amongst particularly interesting results, let's mention the quartet of Italians bodied by Zagato: the exclusive Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ, sold for € 819,160, the astonishing Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ, sold for € 112,049, the beastly Alfa Romeo 3000 SZ, sold for € 72,240, and the fine Lancia Appia GTE, sold for € 62,656. This last one continues its world tour: sold new in the United States, it passed through Italy and France, and will now go to Australia! Other Italian-designed-and-built also found buyers, such as the rare Fiat 512 Torpedo, which changed hands for €29,112, the unique Fiat 1500 B Balbo, sold for €71,160, or the Maserati Bora 4.9 and the Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2, sold for €107,740 and €218,660 respectively.

If the Anna Lisa collection was dominated by Italian cars, French, English and German cars were not left out! A Citroën 11 BL Traction Cabriolet with an interesting history was sold for € 80,600, the Bentley 4 ¼ Continental Saloon with a rare pillarless saloon body by Mulliner found a buyer for € 59,360, the Lagonda 2 Litre low chassis sold for € 93,804 and the Mercedes 300S coupe went to the North of Europe for € 191,520! In the end, the collection collected more than 2 376 500 € TTC. A nice mark of recognition to everything it represents.
