NFTs TO BE SOLD IN AGUTTES' CONTEMPORARY ART AUCTIONDigital art is revolutionizing the art market. Aguttes, the first independent auction house in France, is pleased to innovate and present artworks with their matching NFT.
NFTs, also known as
Non Fungible Tokens, are digital works protected and encrypted by a license. This license allows the collector to be the sole owner of the work, which cannot be copied.
This new form of art, with international influence, is developing rapidly on a totally dematerialized market. The marketing of intangible goods in France is currently prohibited. For this reason, the seven works offered on June 28 will be physical, material works created by New French Touch collective. In accordance with the terms of sale, the buyer of the material work, after payment and reception of the work, will receive on his wallet (digital wallet) the matching NFT.

ABOUT THE CONTEMPORARY ART DEPARTMENTIn a constantly evolving market, contemporary art occupies a prominent place. In recent years, it has experienced a meteoric growth and reaches new records every year. Among its actors, we find many profiles, from businessmen to private collectors, as well as several generations. These actors gravitate together in a dynamic system, sometimes complex but certainly exciting.
It is precisely this dynamism and enthusiasm that is the strength of Ophélie Guillerot and her team in our Contemporary Art and Contemporary Asian Art departments.
