Over €1 million total
The Asian Art department ended the year on a high note once again with its December auction, which brought in nearly €1.1 million.
Led by two exceptional bronzes: an important gilt bronze statue of Chakrasamvara, Tibet, 15th-16th century, and a statue of a bodhisattva, Nepal, 13th-14th century, both from the same private French collection, this sale sparked a fierce bidding war with bidders from all over the world.
