The prestigious British magazine Drinks International has just published its ranking of the most desirable Champagne houses in 2025. This eagerly awaited annual ranking rewards houses that combine exceptional quality, brand strategy, innovation and sustainable commitment.
Evaluated by a jury made up of sommeliers, wine merchants, importers, specialist journalists, holders of the prestigious Master of Wine title and other experts in the sector, the houses featured in this ranking are judged on strict criteria, including the consistency of their cuvées, their reputation and their ability to adapt to new market trends.
In 2025, the ranking was extended to 40 houses. Louis Roederer has once again distinguished itself by taking first place for the sixth year running, consolidating its status as the undisputed benchmark in the world of champagne. Other key names such as Krug, Bollinger and Billecart-Salmon also feature in the top positions. This ranking highlights the evolution of the sector, with innovative and environmentally-friendly Houses.
**Top 18 most popular Champagne Houses in 2025 :
1. Louis Roederer -** A family business since it was founded in 1776, and the undisputed champion of the rankings for the last 6 years. Louis Roederer, famous for its Cristal, which is often offered at our sales, continues to dominate the rankings thanks to its commitment to sustainable viticulture and a winemaking philosophy centred on exceptional terroirs.
2. Krug - Renowned for its artisanal production, notably its Grande Cuvée and rare Vintage wines.
3. Bollinger - A vinous and powerful style with some of the most sought-after Champagnes, such as La Grande Année and the legendary Vieilles Vignes Francaises.
4. Billecart-Salmon - Renowned for its Champagnes of incomparable finesse, notably its Brut Rosé.
5. Charles Heidsieck - Whose old vintages of Blanc des Millénaires are prized by collectors.
6. Pol Roger - Winston Churchill's Champagne, which has won over fans of traditional Champagnes.
7. Ruinart - Whose Blanc de Blancs is a benchmark, as is its Dom Ruinart.
8. Dom Pérignon - Renowned for its vintage cuvées, sometimes produced in collaboration with famous artists, but also for its Plénitude cuvées (P1, P2, P3), which represent the quintessence of this house's expertise.
9. Taittinger - The soul of Chardonnay, with its Cuvée Comtes de Champagne, which ages perfectly.
10. Salon - Produced only in the great years, this is an extremely rare Champagne that we always seek out for our sales.
11. Gosset - The oldest Champagne House, much appreciated by sommeliers.
12. Laurent-Perrier - A house committed to sustainable development, its cuvées are as refined as Grand Siècle.
13. Philipponnat - Famous for Clos des Goisses, one of Champagne's greatest wines.
14. Rare Champagne - The exclusivity of a House specialising in prestige vintages.
15. Jacquesson - Producing small quantities, this House seduces connoisseurs with its minimalist approach.
16. Veuve Clicquot - With its emblematic name and strong visual identity, the House reflects the power of marketing and history. La Grande Dame de Veuve Clicquot is a cuvée particularly appreciated by collectors.
17. Perrier-Jouët - Elegant Champagnes with a marked floral style, particularly with its Belle Epoque cuvée.
18. Drappier - Increasingly recognised internationally, Charles de Gaulle's favourite Champagne favours natural vinification and low dosage.
