Launched in 1971, this second generation of the Flightmaster introduced a new calibre, the 911. Whilst the watch may at first glance appear similar to the first iteration of this imposing pilot’s chronograph, the discerning eye will notice the disappearance of the 24-hour scale that was located at 9 o’clock, replaced by a small seconds dial. Apart from this change, we still have a timepiece with the same qualities as the first version. Another interesting detail is the yellow hands, which were fitted to the watches used by pilots! This set of hands was visible under the UV lighting in the aircraft cockpit.
