He thanks his friend for the pleasant times spent in Paris: ‘I was delighted to see my little painting and the sketches again; they remind me of Mr Keller and the paintings he wishes to examine. As soon as I arrive in Ostend, I shall carefully look through the works that might suit him. I am delighted by the beautiful things I saw in your studio’… Enclosed is an autographed envelope addressed to Constantin Ganesco (9 October 1932), signed on the back by Ensor with his address. Also included is a handwritten letter from his sister Marie ENSOR, from Tunbridge Wells, regretting having accompanied Augusta Bogaert, whose dreadful character causes her distress. Seriously ill and taking large doses of morphine, Marie consulted doctors in London; she took the opportunity to see the James exhibition at the ‘Grove Street Gallery’; Augusta received a painting by James and a collection of his etchings (4 pp., in-12).
