He then mentions the plan for a portrait of this friend: ‘I’d like to start gathering ideas for it right away. Do you have any photographs? Next: I would very much like you or she to write to me, imagining this future portrait or these possible options; do try to sketch some drawings, however rough they may be. Such contact would be of great use to me. I am indeed thinking of a full-length portrait of the person, not just the head’… He is about to begin the portrait of Georgette Camille.
