A gold medal in gilded silver and crystal, entirely handcrafted by artisans at the Lalique workshops. An iconic piece, it is the first to incorporate crystal into its metalwork.
The obverse features, in the foreground, the five Olympic rings standing out against a valley rendered in a gradient effect. The upper section, in gilded metal, is adorned with an inlaid stylised laurel branch, accompanied at the bottom by the inscription: ‘ALBERTVILLE 92 XVIes JEUX OLYMPIQUES D’HIVER – XVI OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES’.
