












The official match ball used in the 1938 World Cup final between Italy and Hungary (4–2) on 19 June 1938 at the Stade Olympique in Colombes.
Provenance: Former head of the French Refereeing Authority, via Georges Capdeville, the match referee.
General appearance: dark brown (natural leather), slightly irregular sphere, composed of 13 thick leather panels hand-stitched together, laced closure, inner bladder and valve inside the ball.
