An emblematic early-1960s roadster, the BJ7 is the most comfortable and versatile of the range, featuring wind-up windows, two small rear seats and a proper convertible hood. It retains its taut lines, wraparound windscreen and generous six-cylinder engine, combining sporting character with British elegance.
A major asset, this example is matching numbers and matching colours, presented in its original Colorado Red with black hood configuration. This is certified by its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate — a significant advantage for discerning collectors.
Acquired in 2016 by its current owner, the car has benefited from substantial mechanical work carried out by the highly regarded Janssens workshop in Belgium, for a total exceeding €27,302.16 (invoices available). The engine was fully rebuilt (rebore, new pistons and rings, crankshaft bearings, cylinder head and oil pump overhaul), gearbox revised (synchromesh and locking mechanism), clutch overhauled, new starter motor, SU HD6 carburettors rebuilt, vacuum brake servo fitted, new wire wheels and tyres, etc.
The bodywork shows no major defects. Panel fit is even and the paintwork is of very good quality. With no visible signs of corrosion, the car has clearly always been well cared for. The hood is new, as is the accompanying tonneau cover.
On the road, the car is particularly rewarding: well-controlled suspension, precise steering free from play or vibration, a smooth gearbox and excellent braking. A Healey ready to be fully enjoyed, whether on open roads or historic rallies.

Acquise en 2016 par son actuel propriétaire, elle a fait l’objet de travaux mécanique importants auprès de la très réputée maison Janssens en Belgique pour un montant supérieur à 27 302,16 € (factures disponibles). Réfection intégrale du moteur (alésage, pistons, segments, coussinets, culasse, pompe à huile), révision boîte de vitesses (synchros, verrouillage), embrayage, démarreur neuf, carburateurs SU HD6 révisés, servo-frein à dépression, jantes à rayons, pneus neufs, etc…
La carrosserie ne présente aucun défaut majeur. Les alignements sont réguliers et la qualité de la peinture est à souligner. Sans trace de corrosion apparente, on peut dire que cette voiture a toujours été soignée. La capote est neuve, tout comme le tonneau cover qui l’accompagne.
À la conduite, l’auto se révèle particulièrement séduisante : trains roulants parfaitement guidés, direction précise sans flou ni vibration, boîte de vitesses agréable et freinage irréprochable. Une Healey prête à être appréciée pleinement, sur route comme en rallye historique.
