A long-tailed pommel with a lion’s head, attached to the guard.
A flat connecting arch linking the openwork plate featuring a radiating sun motif.
Wooden tang covered in leather with double brass filigree.
Curved blade with hollow edges by Dida, merchant and armourer in Bordeaux.
It is engraved with the arms of France beneath a crown (hammered).
Leather scabbard with two brass fittings (for a sabre with a swivelling guard).
France, Revolutionary period.
