Oval pommel attached to the ferrule; one guard arm integral with the openwork guard plate.
Second guard arm in a continuous, swivelling design with a locking mechanism on the guard plate.
Wooden tang covered with a copper filigree (loose).
Slightly curved blade with hollow edges and a fuller.
Leather scabbard with three brass fittings (decorations and 1821 date stamp).
France, Revolutionary period.
