It bears two handwritten endorsements on the reverse, signed by Gilbert ROMME, Bordeaux, 30 Prairial, upon Jarlet’s arrival, when he “handed over a parcel from the Committee of Public Safety”, and then on 2 Messidor when Jarlet departed “with a reply”.
