L.A.S. ‘Schelling’, [mid-February 1797, to his publishers BREITKOPF & HÄRTEL; 1 page, folio; in German.

Instructions for the publication of his *Ideen zu einer Philosophie der Natur* (1797), when he was 23 years old. He sent the first pages of the manuscript, as a new bout of illness prevented him from delivering them in person. He assures his publishers that there are at least 10 to 12 sheets and that, provided nothing else interrupts him, there should be no delay in printing. If printing begins immediately, he asks that the first sheet be sent to him without delay for correction. Once the printer has been briefed on the manuscript, Schelling will no longer need to intervene so often to correct the subsequent pages. He 75483
