Large 12mo square format, 164 pp. Cherry-coloured morocco, ribbed spine, author and title in gold, date stamped at the bottom, multiple gold fillets forming a geometric pattern on the covers, endpapers edged with morocco decorated with a triple gold fillet and a strip of red morocco, burgundy split-leather linings and endpapers, edges gilt on endpapers, cover and spine preserved, matching morocco case [J. Mode] (spine worn, marginal stains on endpapers and first few pages up to p.7).

First edition. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece based on a drawing by Christian Bérard. Limited edition. One of eight copies printed on pearlescent Japanese paper, the first high-quality paper, specially reserved for the Blaizot bookshop (no. 3). A fine copy in a signed binding.
