Publication began in 1914, was interrupted by the war, and was completed in 1918. Illustrated with 8 colour wood-engraved plates by Ernest Florian after drawings by Adolphe Giraldon, including a frontispiece, and 7 headpieces. All text pages are adorned with a decorative wood-engraved frame. Limited edition of 1,212 copies, one of 100 on Imperial Japan paper (no. 143), containing the woodcuts in two states, including a black-and-white suite on Chinese paper.
