Contemporary red morocco with gilt embossing, gilt coats of arms raised in the centre of the covers, ribbed spine decorated with a fanfare pattern and a fleur-de-lis scroll, gilt edges, green half-leather endpapers (a few scattered foxing spots, spine slightly tarnished, slight rubbing to the binding (spine and corners), gilt slightly rubbed on the covers). With a very fine gilt Dubuisson-style plate (interlacing, arabesques, foliage scrolls with a shell in the Rococo style) on the covers.
A fine copy bearing the coat of arms of Jean de Boullongne, Count of Nogent, Councillor at the Parliament of Metz (1690–1769). A very fine binding. An old handwritten note on Boullongne, attached to the first flyleaf.
