He requests a promotion for the son of Mme STAMATI, the unfortunate widow of a French consul: ‘her son-in-law, Mr Varcollier, is stationed near you, and you are already bound by your own acts of kindness’… He also reiterates his request “for the admission to Bicêtre of a poor old man, my neighbour on Rue d’Enfer, named Avenant”…
