8vo, 388 leaves. 18th-century green morocco, smooth, compartmentalised spine, gilt title, gilt fleurons and scrolls, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, small fleurons in the spandrels, gilt scrolls on the edges and fillets, gilt edges [Derome the Younger] (spine slightly tarnished, a few stains on the covers, top and tail slightly rubbed, light angular water stain on pp. 14–25 and 77–112, small rust stain in the margin of pp. 54–56, small ink stain on p. 138).

A second edition, partly in the original form, of these chronicles written by François de Rabutin, a gentleman in the retinue of the Duke of Nevers, François de Clèves, and a historian. It brings together for the first time the first six books published in 1555 and the following five published in 1559. An edition shared between several Parisian booksellers: N.
