8vo. Contemporary red morocco with a nameplate, embossed gold coat of arms in the centre of the covers, ribbed spine decorated with gold panels, gilt title, gilt edges, blue paper endpapers (very slight scuffing to the binding but a fine copy).
A fine example bearing the coat of arms of Fayard de Sinceny (of the Lyonnais region) with a large gilt metal clasp. A beautiful Dubuisson-style plate featuring fans in the spandrels, with scrolls and rocaille. With an engraved bookplate bearing the coat of arms, A. G.-du Plessis, on the inside front cover.
