Red morocco leather with the coat of arms of Magon, Lord of La Terlaye (Brittany); mosaics featuring a ribboned iron and a silver foliage wreath on a patch of green morocco leather; framed by a triple gilt fillet with fleurs-de-lis in the spandrels; gilt roulette on the fore-edges and half-bounds; gilt edges; ribbed spine with floral panels and gilt title; spine slightly tarnished but a fine copy, Corners slightly rubbed. Orange and gold marbled endpapers with floral motif (relieff). Passed through the Valençay Library with stamp on the endpaper
