Beautiful lenticular box, in carved cinnabar lacquer, the lid decorated with a central medallion, of scholars and disciples near a stream bordered by mountains, rocks and pines| the perimeter decorated with floral scrolls in alternating circular and oblong cartouches, on a bottom paved with diamonds sheltering flowers| the edges underlined with a frieze of Greeks.
The interior and base are black lacquered.
