Note: The Qianqing gong 乾清宫 is one of the three main pavilions - and the largest
- of the Inner Court of the Forbidden City, located to the north of the palace, and which formed the private part of it, serving as both the emperor's office and the apartments of the imperial family and concubines.

The collections of the Forbidden City keep a certain number of carpets, some of which are registered according to where they were located, like ours, others without registration. A carpet with a related decoration is illustrated in Carpets in the Collections of the Palace Museum, Classics of the Forbidden City, pp. 52-53.
A painting by Ding Guanpeng (ca. 1708- 1771), illustrated in the same book, p. 268, shows young women devising on a terrace, where a bench is covered with a carpet similar to ours.
