Produced for ten years, the XM was the flagship of Citroën’s top-of-therange range. The arrival of the new millennium will see the car that was named Car of the Year in 1990 disappear. Inspired by the aesthetic line of the Lignage concept presented in 1999, it was not until 2005, five long years after the disappearance of the XM, that the Citroën C6 made its appearance in the catalogue. Borrowing the name of the pre-war model, the C6 presents a number of the brand’s stylistic fundamentals. A long overhang at the front and short at the rear, smooth sides, or a concave rear window reminiscent of the CX. As usual, the French automaker will create a luxurious and comfortable interior with some innovative features such as a head-up display and a lane departure warning. Equipped with a high-level Hydractive suspension with variable and controlled damping, as well as high-performance 4- and 6-cylinder engines, this grand touring car is a pleasure to drive. An official car of the French government and presidents Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande, the C6 will leave in 2012 after 7 years of production and 23,384 units manufactured. The model we are presenting is a C6 phase 2 with a 240 hp 3.0l HDi V6 engine. Owned by a former Citroën dealer, he ordered this car just before production stopped. Featuring the top-of-the-range Exclusive finish, our C6 features the Lounge Pack with a black leather interior, a 6-speed automatic transmission, a power sunroof, 18-inch aluminum wheels, or a metallic black paint.
