This torso statue of Minerva wears a Corinthian helmet decorated with its crest from which her long curly hair escapes symmetrically on each side of her forehead and runs down her back. With a sweeping gesture, his left hand grabs the visor of the helmet, while his right arm is cut above the elbow.

The body is clad in square-necked armor, adorned with a scale pattern with short ruffled sleeves. There is a mascaron on each shoulder and each breast is protected by a pleated shell. The armour is belted with a ribbon and finished with two successive friezes running from hip to hip, one with a pearl motif and the other with a scroll and palmette motif.

The lower part of the armour is made up of thin strips of leather. Finally, a cape held by two fibulae at the shoulder blades covers her back.

According to legend, Minerva, daughter of Jupiter, emerged from her father's head wearing armour after Vulcan had struck his skull, which was suffering from gestation.
