Exceptional pair of animal figures in soft porcelain representing a dog and a boar sitting on mounds.

They are painted au naturel in polychrome.

The initials DV (for Duc de Villeroy) on the terrace of the dog.

18th century circa 1750



H: 21 - W: 20 - D: 13 cm



There is a pair of similar "dog and boar" enamelled white (Cité de la Céramique. Musée National de Sèvres).



We do not know of any other one with polychromy.
