COMMODE MAZARINE
in Boulle marquetry of engraved brass, pewter, blackened wood and ebony.
The curved front opens with four drawers on three rows. The decoration of the drawers bearing the chased and gilded bronze handles presents a finely inlaid motif with scrolls, foliage and arabesques in geometric cartouches. It is supported by four uprights decorated with fillets and finished with bronze sabots. The rectangular top adorned with a moulded moulding repeats the scroll and arabesque decoration.
The side panels are composed of four spandrels and a central cartouche decorated in the Bérain style.
