- Like the majority of post-war British manufacturers, Jaguar Cars, formerly SS Cars, began production with models inherited from the pre-war era. The Mark IV 3½-Litre features a separate chassis with rigid axles, semi-elliptic suspension, and Girling mechanical brakes, and offers an elegant all-steel body in saloon or drophead coupé form with a luxurious interior.
- Powered by the robust Standard seven-bearing inline six with a Weslake cylinder head and four-speed manual gearbox, the Mark IV 3½-Litre could reach over 90 mph. Its reliable and potent engine already made it a benchmark among sports saloons of the era.
- This example is one of the rare original left-hand drive models. Fully restored at -considerable expense, its body wears an elegant burgundy and black finish, complemented by a red leather interior and matching carpets.
- Relatively little used by its owner in recent years, this example nevertheless starts on the first turn of the key and will satisfy any discerning enthusiast.

- Comme la majorité des constructeurs britanniques d’après-guerre, Jaguar Cars, anciennement SS Cars, lance sa production avec des modèles hérités d’avant-guerre. La Mark IV 3 ½-Litre reprend un châssis séparé avec essieux rigides, suspension semi-elliptique et freins mécaniques Girling, et propose une carrosserie en acier élégante en berline ou coupé décapotable avec un intérieur luxueux.
- Equipée du robuste 6-cylindres en ligne Standard à sept paliers, avec culasse Weslake et boîte manuelle quatre rapports, la Mark IV 3 ½-Litre pouvait atteindre plus de 145 km/h. Son moteur fiable et performant en faisait déjà une référence parmi les berlines sportives de l’époque.
- Cet exemplaire fait partie des rares conduite à gauche d’origine. Restaurée à grand frais, sa carrosserie arbore une très élégante teinte bordeaux et noir réhaussée par un habitacle en cuir rouge et moquettes assorties.
- Relativement peu utilisée par son propriétaires depuis quelque temps, notre exemplaire démarre néanmoins à la première sollicitation et satisfera n’importe quels amateurs exigeants.
- Très certainement l’un des plus bel exemplaire actuellement sur le marché.
